As your assurance of quality in caregiving, our caregivers must pass a comprehensive 12-step program in order to certify as a LifeTime Home Care Aide or Companion. We carefully assesses the caregiver’s ability in the four areas of competency: Knowledge, Motives, Skills and Personal Traits. We feel it is the most advanced practice available and you can be assured we have selected and retained the best caregivers available.
Our 12-Step Program:
1. Initial phone interview,
2. Personality and character assessments by Psychometrics Canada,
3. In-person interview,
4. Criminal background check/ adult & child abuse registry checks,
5. Work reference and education/certification confirmation,
6. Skills assessment,
7. Training in personal care and safety by IPCed,
8. CPR, first aid and food handling safety training,
9. Orientation to Company policies and expectations,
10. Client interview and matching,
11. Regular performance reviews and skills upgrading,
12. Ongoing training.
Caregivers must pass all 12 steps of the Program in order to certify as a LifeTime Caregiver. In addition, Caregivers must pass regular performance reviews in order to maintain their standing with LifeTime Home Care.
